In medical practice since 1998, he specializes in transrectal (i.e., endosonographic, transrectal) ultrasound examinations of anal and rectal diseases (abscesses, fistulas, anal sphincter injuries, anal and rectal cancer, anal pain syndromes) and magnetic resonance (MR) examinations of anal fistulas.

Dr. Elena Drakonaki, MD, PhD, EDiMSK is a consultant radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging and assistant professor of anatomy at the Medical School of the University of Crete.
She trained in radiology at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Greece. She completed a visiting clinical internship in MSK radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Center and PET-CT imaging at the Churchill Cancer Centre in Oxford, UK.
She serves as Chair of the Education Committee of the European Society of Skeletal Radiology (2021-2024), responsible for the European Diploma in Musculoskeletal Radiology (EDiR MSK).
She is an active member of the ESSR Subcommittee on Interventions and Ultrasonography and Vice President of the Greek Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology. She has authored and co-authored numerous book chapters, scientific abstracts and Pubmed articles (h-index >18, Scopus citations >2377). Dr. Drakonaki has been an invited lecturer at several ESSR, ECR and Euroson courses and has lectured extensively on MSK at national and international radiology and interdisciplinary meetings. In addition to MSK imaging and MSK anatomy, her main areas of interest include US elastography and interventional.

Graduated from the Second Faculty of the Medical Academy in Warsaw (1991).
During her studies, she was an active member of the student Scientific Circle at the Department of Imaging Diagnostics of the Second Medical Faculty of the Medical Academy (1988-1991).
Assistant trainee of the Medical Academy in the Second Department of Imaging Diagnostics of the Second Medical Faculty at the Bródnowski Hospital in Warsaw.
After completing her internship, she worked at the Department of Imaging Diagnostics of the Second Faculty of Medicine under the direction of Prof. W.Jakubowski and then Prof. L.Królicki in the ultrasonography, scintigraphy and magnetic resonance laboratories, teaching students of the AM, especially specializing under the direction of doc. Ewa Bażko in the diagnosis of prostate diseases (usg, RM).
As part of her specialization in radiodiagnostics, she is doing internships in radiology laboratories.
She has lectured to doctors on musculoskeletal diagnostics conducted by the Multis Multum Foundation, the Polish Society of Radiology, the Cedus Ultrasound Education Center, the Center for Medical Postgraduate Education and Cemed.
In 1999-2002, Head of the NSC Research Project entitled "Evaluation of neurotoxic effects of chemotherapeutic drugs based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging" performed in cooperation with the Oncology Center in Warsaw.
In 2004, at the Medical University of Warsaw under the supervision of Professor L.Królicki, he obtains a doctoral degree in medical sciences defending the thesis entitled. "Evaluation of neurotoxic effects of chemotherapy in magnetic resonance and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy evaluation".
Since 2001 he has been working at Carolina Medical Center where he performs ultrasound, MRI and X-ray examinations.

Dr Dalili is a Consultant Musculoskeletal radiologist with expertise in all aspects of diagnostic and image-guided treatments for orthopaedic, sports, rheumatological and spine conditions. He graduated from St Bartholomew’s Hospital London in 2010, initially training in plastic surgery, he developed extensive experience as a clinician in traumatic musculoskeletal and sports injuries in the emergency setting. Later his passion for clinical radiology came to fruition following training at the Royal Marsden and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he witnessed first-hand the profound impact of cutting-edge minimally invasive imaging guided procedures on patient care. Thereafter he undertook specialist clinical radiology training which he completed at Imperial College London and Oxford University Hospitals, with his subsequent musculoskeletal clinical and research experience spanning Europe and the United States. His primary interests include all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging, but he has particular expertise in the application of modern imaging techniques to sports and spinal conditions. He has undertaken original work in the application of Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography guided intervention to the bone, joint, muscle and soft tissue diseases. He established and leads the Interventional Spine service at Epsom Hospital in Surrey providing minimally invasive treatments and injections for the Southwest London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, a national leader in the field of Orthopaedics. Dr Dalili lectures and teaches internationally, has contributed widely to the literature, is the lead viva examiner for the European diploma in musculoskeletal radiology and vice-chair of the ESSR Educational committee.
